There's a fair amount of talent that's come out of Northern Ireland. Everybody knows your Nesbitt's and Neeson's; many know the legend that is Van Morrison hailed from Belfast. Few will know of Sethway, a ragtag bunch of rascals straight out of the classroom and running for the bright lights of future stardom. What are they up to right now? Promoting their new single 'The Constant' that's what.

This cool little tune has got an opening that makes you want to listen. Is it going to be angry, full of questions and hard apologies or is it a guitar-fuelled love song, dressed up in its leather-jacketed disguise? The answer is it's not important. What is important is the fact that 'The Constant' has got all the hallmarks of a proper rock track, heavy enough to be found under the label of 'rock', but subtle enough for you to enjoy its uncomplicatedness and gentle angst.

There's some well placed 'whoa oh oh ohs' in the chorus and if I'm honest I watered 'The Constant' to be longer than its 3 and a half minutes, just so as I could hear a few more. Sethway sound a little like Lost Prophets, vocals down to the one who sounds the most pained, the rest of the band backing up their acolyte in the face of his own personal hell.

It's such an easy track to get into and definitely worth a listen. It might not win awards but Sethway know what they are good at already, producing cool rock tracks that people will thoroughly enjoy and that you won't be ashamed of knowing all the words to. Sethway are making their arrival from school hall to music hall fast. These boys don't need a career advisor-they're already doing what they set out to do.
