Front Country is made up of six up and coming musical talents based around the Bay Area, West Coast California. These talented musicians collaborate together to create an eruption of songs and titles belting out the best of American bluegrass sounds. Putting their own stamp on legendary originals and making them their own. Laced with traditional songs from the likes of Dylan, Utah Philips & Kate Wolf, Front Country take these sounds and entwine classics with a fresh new layer of power pop, country and raw power.

This album belts out feet stomping feel good soul from the very first track; Gospel Train to the last Lovin's For Fools. It is a heart warming and fresh collection of bluegrass at its best.

The raw and compassionate power of Melody Walker's vocals drives this rich soul into action paired with a strong and consistent quality of instrumentals. Gospel Train enables you to be hooked by the first track.

It is not usually sounds I listen too, apart from Dylan, however sometimes irrelevant of genre or preconceptions of musical taste, if the empathy and consideration is there, you will enjoy the listening experience just as much as a favourite album.

'Sake of the sound' is almost like a history lesson teaching you and showing you the best sound and the underground beat of a place, a musical genre and a rich current of opportunity.

The original tracks however stand on their own and apart from the covers. These are equally if not more impressive. Album track title 'Sake of The Sound' seems to be the literal appreciation and thanks for this gorgeous musical sound and to those West Coast predecessors opening up windows for inspiration and new roots and branches for Front Country to grow from.
